Bionic concept car launched by Daimler ChryslerBionic concept car launched by Daimler Chrysler recently will have a tremendous fuel mileage reaching 70 mpg per gallon. With a great mileage, it will also be cutting down on some of the pollutants by as much as 80%. Now that is impressive. If you take a closer look at the model, you will see that it is nothing but a magnified image of a fish. Now, that is something engineers at Daimler Chrysler worked hard on getting better aerodynamic, better mileage, safe and environmental friendly car.

The wind drag coefficient for the car is mere 0.06 with the design being based on fish called boxfish. The body of the bionic car is more rigid as well as lightweight. Daimler Chrysler claims that the body is 30% more rigid then conventional vehicles. Due to the low drag and light weight, the 140 horsepower concept car gets better mileage then any other diesel car in its category and size. The car could seat 4 people.
